ABSTRACT
A compressed-air vehicle (CAV) is powered by an air engine, using with hot expanding gases, compressed-air vehicles use the expansion of compressed air to drive their pistons. One manufacturer claims to have designed an engine that is 90 percent efficient.
Terry Miller, the Father of Modern Air Car Movement. In 1979, Terry Miller set out to design a spring-powered car and determined that compressed air, being a spring that doesn't break or wear out, was the perfect energy-storing medium.
Parts of compressed air vehicle(CAV):-
1. Air motor
2. Compressed air tank
3. Steering Mechanism
4. Chassis
5. Axles
6. Air pressure regulator
The compressed air vehicles are the best solution to this problem because it does not produce the harmful side effects as in other alternative fuel vehicles and also it is economical and totally safe. The CAV only gets the required energy for the actuation from the process of compression and decompression of the air, which is enormously present in this world in the renewable form. These are vehicles, which can work together with the air world system. these are called as ZERO EMISSION CATS in USA. These vehicles can be incorporated with duel fuel system with petrol or diesel.
