A Cost-Based Approach to Adaptive Resource Management in Data Stream Systems
ABSTRACT:
Data stream management systems need to adaptively control their resources, since stream characteristics and query workload may vary over time. In this project, we investigate an approach to adaptive resource management for continuous sliding window queries that adjusts window sizes and time granularities to keep resource usage within bounds. These two novel techniques differ from standard load shedding approaches based on sampling, as they ensure exact query answers for given user-defined quality of service specifications, even under query reoptimization. In order to quantify the effects of both techniques on the various operations in a query plan, we develop an appropriate cost model for estimating operator resource allocation in terms of memory usage and processing costs. A thorough experimental study not only validates the accuracy of our cost model but also demonstrates the efficacy and scalability of the proposed techniques.
EXISTING SYSTEM
In the existing system used Conventional Forwarding/Routing Method. In thus method sends the data in store-forward multicasting format to one system to another system it will keep on time is 3 transmissions and also it will losses wireless channels, route breakage due to network congestion and also existing system is.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
In proposed system we used some algorithm to maintain low energy efficiency broadcasting in all-all communication. It’s used to Improves the performance in data broadcasting
Most suitable setting: all too all communications.

2. Client process:

Sliding window
1. Server Process:
Ordinary window:
This window is used to sending the files or documents to Client, after receiving the file, server get an acknowledgement from client. Sometimes client may not be received full size of file due to the problem of Network traffic and disconnectivity.
In this scenario, data loses as well as cost of sending.
Sliding window:
This is the new technology preferred by sending files or documents from server to client, by using this sliding window concept data can be splitting into packets. Once server starts the sending process server getting the packet wise acknowledgement from client .In this scenario server and client should not get loses in terms of cost as well as data (packets).
2. Client Process:
Ordinary window:
In this window client receiving the files safely from server, if not having any Network traffic and disconnectivity problem .Sometimes Client could not able to receive big size of files or documents due to reason of network and disconnectivity problems. In this scenario server should not get acknowledgement from client .so finally data loses and cost loses occurred.
Sliding window:
As client side process, splitting of data (packets) received by client from server for each acknowledgement, after receiving client can merge all the packets and view original file .In this way we can reduce the loses in terms of cost and data. By using this concept sending and receiving files can be achieved easily without loses.
