Introduction
Cars are parked one above the other
It can be underground or above ground or combination of both.
It depends on the type of the system installed and the contours of the space available.
The parking facility or lot must foremost deal with the functional and operational in providing for safe and efficient passage of the automobile.
COMPONENTS
ELEVATOR for vertical movement of cars.
SHUTTLE for horizontal movement
LIFT TROLLEY for transferring cars between concrete floor and shuttle.
TURNTABLE
Design
There is recess in the concrete slab where the two transfer trolleys can slide.
trolleys slide underneath the car and and pick up the car.
Firsts trolley 1 lifts up the front wheels and then the rear wheels by trolley 2.
Now the car is totally lifted and ready for vertical or horizontal movements.
Flat plates
Decrease shear stress at column head
Provides increased depth of slab necessarily required to safely bear the excessive negative bending moment near column.
Thickness : 50%or more than the thickness of slab in mid span
Semi rigid partially restrained frames
Best balance of stiffness, strength and ductility to resist forces with economy and efficiency
There are very few structural non brittle elements, semi rigid steel frames can be best and most economic lateral load resisting systems.
They resist load by forming plastic hinges within moment connections.
Column sentry.
Column protector is designed to fit around square, round, or h shaped columns
up to 100mmX100mm in size (With an outside diameter of 355mm)
Upto 250 mm X250 mm in size with an outside diameter of 610mm
Upto 350 mmX350 mm in size with an outside diameter of 840mm
Up to 350 mm X350 mm in diameter with an outside diameter of 840 mm
Upto 450 mm X450 mm in diameter with an outside diameter of 970 mm
