Introduction to the study
In the case of marketing organizations, distribution holds a key position in ensuring timely delivery of products to the end consumer ensuring better consumer satisfaction and better profits for the organization. The study intends to understand the critical aspects of the network within a distribution system.
Objective of the study:
1. To study the distribution network at Waghbakri
2. To understand the role of different intermediaries within the distribution network
3. To understand the critical issues that need to be addressed in order to ensure the smooth functioning of the distribution network
4. To critical asses the effectiveness of the distribution network
Research Methodology
The research design for the study shall be exploratory in nature and shall involve indepth interviews with different channel members and partners. Interviews shall be conducted for various personnals at Waghbakri who function at different level in the hierarchy of the distribution function. Interviews shall be conducted for various channel partners of Waghbakri who take care of different activities in the distribution channel.
Another method that shall be employed for the study shall be direct observation. Visits shall be conducted at various locations that involve the distribution network in order to practically understand how does the distribution network work
People to be interviewed:
1. Managers and executives from the distribution department
2. Channel partners involved in the distribution network
Findings:
The findings of the above mentioned study shall consist of a critical analysis of the distribution network of Waghbakri and shall discuss the various processes that are involved elaborating on the parameters that determine and control its efficiency and effectiveness
