ABSTRACT
Cloud computing is a development and integration result of distributed processing, parallel processing and grid computing technologies. It helps the enterprise switch the resources according to the applications, accesses computer and storage systems according to the demand. And it provides a new computing model for enterprise informatization. This work introduces items related to cloud computing: the concept, the theory, cloud level, the main form, the security analysis, as well as cloud storage.
Potential benefits of cloud computing include reducing IT capital expenditure, providing rapid dynamic scaling of resources on a metered basis, as well as transparency related to platforms, storage, transmission and processing of data. However, these benefits come with many potential problems. There is an urgent need to investigate and understand security assurance in cloud computing. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) may be unable to dedicate specialized staff and other resources to this end. This work argues that emerging taxonomies, frameworks and guidelines, collectively referred to as instruments in this work, can facilitate SME enquiry into cloud computing. The instruments have been developed and refined by industry and government consortia. The proposal is oriented in the context of a prevailing definition and model of cloud computing. Potential benefits and drawbacks in cloud computing are presented. Organizations responsible for developing the instruments are depicted followed by the systematic approach based upon the cloud instruments.
INTRODUCTION
Overview
Cloud computing is a development and integration result of distributed processing, parallel processing and grid computing technologies. By using of cloud computing, users can access to applications through connecting devices anywhere; application program located on a large-scale elastic data center, computing resources can be dynamically deployed, shared, to achieve economies of scale.
It is a computing model that lets you access software, server and storage resources over the Internet in a self-service manner. The large computing program is auto-divided into numberless smaller sub-programs through network and then all subprograms are submitted to large system which consists of several server machines, after finishing computing analysis, the result is returned to the user. By using of cloud computing technique, the network vendors can handle millions or billions information within a few seconds. It can reach the same powerful network server as the super computer does.
Problem statement
The Problem that need to be solved in this project is to presents SMEs to overcome their third most critical challenge after affordability and availability—resources. Most SMEs have the hardest time finding and holding on to good talent. Since such talent is costly, SMEs lack rightly skilled manpower or domain specialists. Cloud computing provides SMEs with a platform to host their business system requirements, where the system is maintained in a secure environment and backed up regularly, without any effort on their part. All that is needed at their end is a basic “subscriber/rental” agreement and fast Internet access. At the same time, they don’t have to go out on a limb when their requirements expand. Services off the cloud are flexible and scalable and simply grow to meet their needs.
Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME’s)
Importance of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as one of the most vibrant
sectors of the economy is widely accepted. It has created tremendous employment opportunities and currently employs over 60 million workers. It is estimated that in terms of value, the sector accounts for about 45% of the manufacturing output and 40% of the total exports of the country. In recent times, the integration of information and communication technologies, especially the internet, has revolutionized operations across businesses. Some industries such as travel, hospitality, international trade, business services, banking and finance have completely transformed their operations and service delivery models by leveraging technology.
However, the benefits of internet are highly under utilised in India. Even in cases where internet and IT are used, these are restricted to a few basic processes such as communication and documentation or industry segments. Even if one ignores micro-enterprises, which are extremely small in terms of size and investments and have a limited scope of using internet and technology, there is a considerable small and medium enterprise (SME) sector where the adoption of technology can be much more comprehensive.
Functional Requirement:
Part of the popularity of this application is its ease of use. Mount the file system and it accesses files as if they were local rather than on the network. The client sees the directories and the files. When the client requests a file, the server sends it over the network to the client. Storing the file and its metadata together has one major advantage which is ease of implementation. The same storage that stores the files store the metadata. One network connection supplies the file and the metadata. Changes to the file and the metadata are easily coordinated with the single storage controller. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructures, it requires no changes to the existing applications or the operating system.
High Level Design
The proposed system presents a new suitable computing mode for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Cloud computing is the development of distributed processing, parallel handle and network computing. It is a computing model that lets you access software, server and storage resources over the Internet in a self-service manner. CONCLUSION AND FUTURE ENHANCEMENT
The cloud is in fact a boon for SMEs, a panacea to their key problem—affordability. These companies can now cost-effectively access cutting-edge applications, platforms and infrastructure hitherto available only to large enterprises to improve their global competitiveness.
Cloud computing can supply a new type computing and business model for small and medium-size enterprise. In the project, we talk about the key steps that effect cloud computing such as terminal user, vendors (hardware device manufacturer and cloud computing vendors) and running company with business of cloud computing.
