INTRODUCTION:
Medicines should be taken in time correctly as per the prescription. Patients who regularly take medicines cannot remember the prescription timings. This is a system which reminds patients about the timings of their medicines with voice announcement.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
In the busy schedule of people they cannot remember the timings of their medical prescription. It is important to take medicines regularly. This system consists of a microcontroller, RTC, EEPROM, keypad, APR 9600, speaker and LCD. The user has to enter the details of prescription through keypad, which will be stored in EEPROM.
The microcontroller reads the time form RTC and compares it with the time stored in EEPROM. If the time matches, a voice announcement is made through APR9600 IC and a message will be displayed on the LCD.
The micro controller communicates with RTC and EEPROM ICs through I2C communication.
