ACCESS CHECK FOR SMART MONEY CARRY
AIM:
This project is mainly aimed to implement the credit card security system with SMS confirmation to provide a secured banking system.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the project is to provide a secured and reliable environment to the customers for their banking transactions by providing a unique identity to every user using the SMART CARD technology and GSM for security purpose.
DESCRIPTION:
Here in this project we are going to provide the at most security since it is taking the SMART CARD as the first authentication and activates the GSM modem for the confirmation. If user of credit card is valid person, then the user will get confirmation message from the modem. If user is not a valid person there will be no confirmation, thus the user of credit card can’t perform any transactions.
Whenever user inserts smartcard into the reader, it will read the information and fetches to the controller. As soon as controller gets the information from the card reader it will activates the GSM modem for confirmation. GSM modem replies to the controller by sending a SMS through network paths using AT commands. After getting confirmation from the modem user will perform transactions.
TECHNOLOGY:
A smart card is an integrated circuit card that forms a part of a circuit or system when engaged with a smart card interface. Smart cards are becoming increasingly more popular for security and personal identification applications. Smart cards have one or more microcontrollers embedded in them which manage access to, and storage of, sensitive data that is actually stored in memory devices on the smart card. The smart chip included on a smart card provides a means for secured electronic transactions and a means for identification. The integrated chip is embedded in the smart card and operates to process specific transactions. The smart card uses a serial interface and receives its power from an external source such as a smart card reader.
GSM:
GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) is the technology that underpins most of the world's mobile phone networks. The GSM platform is a hugely successful wireless technology and an unprecedented story of global achievement and cooperation. GSM has become the world's fastest growing communications technology of all time and the leading global mobile standard, spanning 218 countries. GSM is an open, digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. GSM operates in the 900MHz and 1.8GHz bands GSM supports data transfer speeds of up to 9.6 kbps, allowing the transmission of basic data services such as SMS.
