INTRODUCTION:
Parking means to bring a vehicle to a halt (parking slot) and leave it temporarily in a parking lot or by the side of the road. Parking is the act of stopping a vehicle and leaving it unoccupied for more than a brief time. Parking on one or both sides of a road is commonly permitted, though often with restrictions. Parking facilities are constructed in combination with most buildings, to facilitate the coming and going of the buildings' users.
Systematic parking Rush parking
Parking is one of the problem facing by the people in huge buildings, multiplexers etc. It is difficult for a person to find parking space where there may be more number of parking rooms in more numbers of floors in a building.
Also it is costly to maintain human guidance in such huge complexes.
So the seminar has been developed to find solution for parking space monitoring.
BRIEF DISCRIPTION:
The various types of parking are:
• Landscape parking.
• Underground parking.
• Multi storage parking.
The modes of parking are:
Parallel parking.
Perpendicular parking.
Angle parking.
Following are the methods by which parking is done:
• Self parking.
• Automatic parking.
1. Hydraulic parking.
2. Car sensor parking.
3. Remote control parking.
In self parking the driver drives the vehicle and park it by himself.
In automatic parking the parking is done with the help of machines or devices.
The hydraulic parking system is one of the finest and easier parking system. But the problem is that its installation charges are very high.
The car sensor parking is also very good, but in this system the sensor is attached to the car and the sensor helps to park the particular car only. Then what about the other cars which don’t have the sensor?
In today’s rapidly developing world the demand of public is also increasing. Due to their demand more and more vehicles are launched in the market. And because of this reason the traffic jam is increasing, and the traffic jam occurs just because of improper parking system.
In above figure we can see that lots of car are parked in the parking slots. But initially when the person come for parking he have to search for an empty place for parking his vehicle. And it takes lot of time, due to this reason often the traffic jam occurs.
Similarly there are many problems related to parking system.
So to solve the problem of parking we have brought new parking technique which is very efficient. This process is not very expensive and it can be easily installed in the area where large number of parking is done.
Main aim of the project is to provide the information on the availability of parking in multiplexes without any operator in parking area by displaying availability of the parking before entering into a parking area.
A display is provided at the entrance of the parking area which displays the number of slots available for parking.
When all of the parking slots are occupied the LED board will display zero parking slots available, so that one can drive to another parking level or parking area without wasting time in searching for parking slot in that area.
This system requires no operator as one can find the availability of parking slot automatically by knowing the number of free parking slots in that area.
• SENSER SENSING THE PARKED VEHICLE:
In this system the sensor is used to sense the vehicle. The sensors sense the presence of any vehicle in its vicinity and sends data signals to micro controller.
A program is written in micro controller such that the number of sensors which have not sensed any vehicle in its vicinity are determined and displayed on display block. Each slot has a sensor fixed to sense vehicle that has been parked in its vicinity.
Thus the number of slots that are vacant can be displayed at entrance of parking area so that one can know the parking availability and can park their vehicle with convenience.
