ADVANCED TRAFFIC CONTROLSYSTEM
Advanced traffic control system.pptx (Size: 1.2 MB / Downloads: 61)
PRESENT SYSTEM
Second largest population of our country in the world.
Increased load on traffic everywhere.
Traffic out of control despite using traffic signals.
Still a manually controled system which is a failure.
Road accidents increased at an alarming rate.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
Modified Traffic Signal Poles containing - Signal Transmitting Antennas,Traffic Lights, CCTV Cameras.
Signal poles situated in front of every road for oncoming vehicles.
All Vehicles fitted with -the Signal Receiver.
Signal Receivers ultimately attached to Braking System.
Central signal controling system to change the direction of signal after a preset time located at places meant for stands of police.
working
At a particular time signals will be released in the lane to be stopped simultaneously with red light switched on.
Meanwhile people can use zebra crossing.
The signals will be made highly directional whose strength will die out after few meters.
The receivers of vehicles so adjusted so as to catch only peak frequency of these signals.
Those stopping before a preset line will have no problem.
If anyone enters the region ,receiver will catch the peak frequency & process of braking will start.
advantages
No vehicle can enter the particular region until & unless signals are being released.
No one can break the traffic signals according to wish.
No need of manually controlling the system as signals of other lanes will be switched on automatically after a time interval, which can be set in central signal controlling system.
The whole system can be monitored from a station far away using CCTV cameras.
Future prospects
Similar transmitter –receiver system can be used at places such as chools ,hospitals
avoiding accidents by not allowing vehicles to ply in their region.
This can also be used at railway crossings which will not grant access to vehicles until train has crossed the place.
This system can also be used for security purposes in defense & police areas.
