An applet is a Java program that runs in a Web browser. An applet can be a fully functional Java application because it has the entire Java API.
APPLET CLIENTS
The applet client provides a browser-based Java run time capable of interacting with enterprise beans directly, instead of indirectly through a servlet.
It is designed to support the user who want to use browser-based java client applicaion program environment.
Applet can connect only to the host from which they were loaded.
The applet shows the number of visits made to web page.
AppletClient . java
The client creates a socket to connect to the server, creates an input stream from the socket, receives the count from the server and displays it in the text field.
Datagram sockets
A DatagramSocket object is a local connection to a port that does the sending and receiving.
datagram socket is used to send and receive datagram packets.
