ABSTRACT
The aim of this project is to design and develop a control system based on electronically controlled automatic brake failure indicator by IR sensors and engine over heating alarm by using temperature sensor. This method is called as “automatic brake failure and engine over heating alarm”. It consists of sensor circuit and control units and alarm in it
WORKING PRINCIPLE
In this project we are using control unit to check the Brake condition and engine’s heat. Here we are placing the temperature sensor which is fixed in the radiator inlet which comes from the engine block. Whenever the engine gets over heat due to the running of vehicle at the time the temperature sensor gets the temperature rate from the engine, the corresponding signals are given to the control unit. Here the brake failure is identified by the IR sensors which are placed at the either side of the brake wire. They are transmitter and receiver (IRTX and IRRX). These sensors transmit and receive the signals. If the wire is present in between the above sensors the signal will be positive and in case of absence of brake wire the signals will be negative and the system indicates the situation to the driver. The all above process are controlled by the control unit it is nothing but the small chip called microcontroller it’s already programmed and fed in the chip for working of our project. The alarm is used to indicate the situation of the system.
