ABSTRACT
Analog mobile phones (Advanced Analog Phones System) are the first generation mobile communication system. The second generation mobile communications system are such as Global system for mobile communication (GSM) , Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) and IS-136 use digital techniques to achieve better performance, quality, security , and spectral efficiency. The third generation mobile communication is expected to provide high quality global roaming capability for voice, data, internet browsing, and multimedia applications. It uses Intelligent Antenna (IA), to improve the performance of radio systems by embedding electronics intelligence into the spatial processing unit. Spatial processing includes spatial precoding at the transmitter and spatial postcoding at the receiver, which are dual each other from information signal processing theoretic point of view. Intelligent antenna is technology which represents smart antenna, multiple antenna (MIMO), self-tracking directional antenna and so on.

1. INTRODUCTION
Over the past decade, wireless communications has seen an exponential growth and will certainly continue to withness spectral development due to the emergence of new interactive multimedia applications and highly integrated system. However, broadband data access at high transmission rates will be needed to provide users packet-based connectivity to a plethora of services. It is also certain that the neXt Generation (XG) wireless system will consist of complementary system with a set of different standards and technologies along with wireless connection between mobile and machines, game systems, desktop computers, cellular phones, consumer electronic products, and hand-held devices. A key requirement in future wireless system is ability to provide broadband connectivity with end-to-end Quality of Services (QoS) ,a high network capacity, and throughout at a low cost. This talk will discuss about multi-antennas using 3G mobile communications network from GSM(Global System For Mobile Communication) to 3G (Third Generation)and to cdma2000 and WCDMA and also describe some leading enabling Technology and comparison of cdma2000 and WCDMA.
9. CONCLUSION
In SISO is known as Single input and Single output. In radio it is the useof only one antenna both in the transmitter and receiver. SISO systems are typically less complex than Multiple-Input Multiple-Output systems but MIMO uses multiple antennas at both the transmitter and receiver to improve communication performance. It is one of several forms of smart antenna technology. By using Multi-antenna. MIMO technology which has attracted attention towards wireless communications, because it offers significant increases in data throughput and link range without additional bandwidth or transmit power. Using this technology we can achieve higher spectral efficiency (more bits per second per hertz of bandwidth) and link reliability or diversity (reduced fading).
