Ant Colony Based Time Investigation for Route- Discovery, Maintenance and QoS analysis of Ant Colony Based Routing Algorithm in Mobile Ad Hoc Network using NS2 simulator
Abstract
Mobile Ad hoc Networks are wireless networks which are characterized by dynamic topologies and no fixed infrastructure. MANET consists of an autonomous collection of mobile users over bandwidth constrained wireless links. Since nodes are mobile, the network topologies changes rapidly and unpredictably over time. Some factors like complexity increase due to various characteristics like dynamic topology, absence of centralized authority, time varying QoS requirements. The major issue comes under MANET is of Route establishment. So here in this paper we have tried to solve this issue by proposing an optimized ANT Colony algorithm. Optimized ACO here helps us in route discovery and route maintenance in MANET which is a major issue of route establishment. If we are talking about route discovery and maintenance, we found that Optimized ACO improve the network performance as compared to other QoS routing Protocols such as QoS-AODV protocol.
