1. A resonant transmission line carries 81 watts in the forward direction and 9 watts in the reverse direction. Determine the standing wave ratio SWR on the line.
2. Briefly explain each of the following parameters which describe the performance of an antenna.
a. Aperture
b. Gain
c. Reciprocity
d. Antenna impedance
3. Calculate the SWR of a transmission line whose characteristic impedance is 300 ohms and is terminated in a load resistance of 100 ohms.
4. A load impedance 130+j90Ω terminates a 50Ω transmission line that is 0.3 long. Find:
i. the reflection coefficient at the load
ii. the reflection coefficient at the input to the line
iii. The SWR on the line
iv. The return loss
v. Impedance seen at the input to the line.
