Hardware Constraint:
Constraints of the Wide Area Network (WAN) will be applicable to the system. The performance of the system will be dependent on the network conditions like network congestion, bandwidth etc. The primary memory (RAM) and secondary memory (Hard Disk Space) requirement of the system at the client end will be the same as that required by the web browser and Operating System. At the server end memory requirements will be that of the server software (Operating System, Database Software, etc) and the space required to store the data.
Software Constraints:
This system will not take care of any virus problem, which might occur either on the client or the server system. Avoiding the use of pirated software and ensuring that floppies and other removable media are scanned for viruses before use could minimize the possibility of viral infection of the system.
The System will require the Apache Server on the devolvement environment.
2.4 Advantages:
If any customer wants to view the items of the any product for example if customer wants to know the product of the Dhirajsons then he can easily know using our website.
1. Login and password is used for identification of customer and there is facility for guest also.
2. Customer’s IP also be traced because of the security purpose.
Limitations:
3. GUI is only in English.
4. Because of time limitation, Payment module is not included.
Overview of PHP:
PHP stands for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP is a scripting language originally designed for producing dynamic web pages. It has evolved to include a command line interface capability and can be used in standalone grapgical application.PHP is an HTML-embedded scripting language. The goal of the language is to allow web developers to write dynamically generated pages quickly."
1. PHP is a server-side scripting language, like ASP
2. PHP scripts are executed on the server
3. PHP supports many databases (MySQL, Informix, Oracle, Sybase, Solid, PostgreSQL, Generic ODBC, etc.)
4. PHP is an open source software
5. PHP is free to download and use
PHP goes right into your Web pages, so there's no need for a special development environment or IDE. You start a block of PHP code with <?php and end it with ?>. (You can also configure lPHP to use ASP-style <% %> tags or even <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="php"></SCRIPT>.) The PHP engine processes everything between those tags.
PHP's language syntax is similar to C's and Perl's. You don't have to declare variables before you use them, and it's easy to create arrays and hashes (associative arrays). PHP even has some rudimentary object-oriented features, providing a helpful way to organize and encapsulate your code.
PHP's support for Apache and MySQL further increases its popularity. Apache is now the most-used web-server in the world, and PHP can be compiled as an Apache module. MySQL is a powerful free SQL database, and PHP provides a comprehensive set of functions for working with it. The combination of Apache, MySQL and PHP is all but unbeatable.
Reasons for using PHP
There are some indisputable great reasons to work with PHP. As an open source product, PHP is well supported by a talented production team and a committed user community. Furthermore, PHP can be run on all the major operating systems with most servers.
The speed of development is also important. Because PHP allows you to separate HTML code from scripted elements, you will notice a significant decrease in development time on many projects. In many instances, you will be able to separate the coding stage of a project from the design and build stages.
The Advantages of PHP:
PHP is one of the most popular server side scripting languages running today. It is used for creating dynamic WebPages that interact with the user offering customized information. PHP offers many advantages; it is fast, stable, secure, easy to use and open source PHP code is inserted directly into the HTML that makes up a website. When a visitor comes to the website, the code is executed. Because PHP is a server side technology, the user does not need any special browser or plug-ins to see the PHP in action.
1) PHP’s syntax is very similar to c, Perl, ASP or JSP, For people who know either of these languages PHP is too easy.
2) Database Integration PHP can be compiled with function to interact with lot of database. PHP with MySQL is very popular combination. You can also write your wrap-around function to indirection call database function.
3) Extensibility like mentioned before, PHP has been evolving at repid for a non-programmer it might be different to extend PHP to support additional functions but for programs it should not be very different.
4) Object Oriented Programs PHP provide for classes and objects support for OOP’s is sufficient enough for most programming task related to the web. PHP supports constructors, derived classes etc.
5) Scalability traditionally, interactivity in web page are achieved using CGI programs do not scale well, because each run of a program occurs as separate process. The solution is to compile the interpreters for language used to write CGI programs into the web-server.
