Automatic Toll Plaza

Overview:
These days there are so many problems due to the increase of vehicles. This has lead to traffic conjunction in most of the areas which include toll plaza also. During festival times, this traffic increases to a large amount.
This problem can be largely solved by automated toll plaza which is a new innovation that solves the traffic problem in the toll plaza. It reduces the amount of traffic that piles up near the toll plaza, which leads to quicker journey.
The vehicle that enters the toll plaza will be provided with a transmitter module in it which will transmit the corresponding ID of the car to the receiversection that is present in the plaza through the means of RF communication. The vehicle will have a prepaid account that is already stored in the system.
The receiver module which is present in the plaza will receive the data that it gets from the transmitter module and sends it to the micro controller. This controller will check for the corresponding account details of the vehicle. If the vehicle has the necessary account balance, the micro controller will provide signals to the LCD and the LED to perform its operation i.e., it will give signal for the LCD to display the account details and will also provide signal to the LED for the corresponding LED to glow.
If the vehicle that enters the plaza is devoid of any balance, the micro controller will provide the signal to the LCD to display the vehicles account balance and then it will provide the signal to red LED to glow.
This project uses regulated 5v, 500mA power supply. 7805, a three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/12v step down transformer. The RFID module requires a separate +5v power supply.
