OVERVIEW
The iRes project is an ASP.net development to introduce an integrated CRM and reservation system, replacing the client’s (company’s) current series of spreadsheets used to record client information and booking details and introduce a secure and centrally held database structure on which the company’s business can grow and develop.
The company is a provider on a seasonal basis of quality chalet style accommodation in select European ski resorts. Bookings are made via website request form or telephone enquiry, with a majority of the client base being from the UK; with a smaller number of bookings being made from wider Europe. The typical holiday duration is one week in resort.
The company have investigated purchasing readymade off-the-shelf solutions for their requirement and after much deliberation have decided to pursue a developed solution instead; which will allow them now and in the future to flexibly tailor the system to meet changing needs of the business and its market place.
Among the benefits the company will derive from the iRes development will be:-
• More secure & structured means of accessing business data
• Client management and contact history
• Structured reservations and booking maintenance
• Management Reporting & KPI’s
• Uniform production of client documentation
The iRes development is seen as an initial step along the route to a long-term larger development partnership. The following document provides a series of screen shots, with commentary, for the development of the base iRes system. It is envisaged that the Developer selected for this job will be able to prove conclusively their suitability to undertake this type of project. Proof of previous developments will be required; and linked to this reference sites who may be contacted to verify quality of work and service provided by the Developer.
