OBJECTIVE
To develop a centralized, integrated and automated system for improving the efficiency of blood bank management.
To provide a quicker accessibility of information about donors.
To make the process of registration of donors universal and easier.
ABSTRACT
The system provides a website where the donors can register and the details are stored in the database.
All the process of registration is quite simple and users can get registered from their home itself.
If there is an blood camp in an area, the system intimates the donors belonging in that area by cell phone sms.
If required, the system can also send a reminder to donors on that particular day of the blood camp.
In case of emergency , the donors with a blood group will be search based on required criteria .
They can be informed about the need either individually or as a group via cell phone messages.
EXISTING SYSTEM
Blood bank management system should work with an coordination of planning and controlling
The user has to reach the blood bank camp, to get registered.
The Blood bank handles all the documents manually.
First donor has to fill the registration form which includes his/her details, after examining his blood in a lab prescription is given to the donor.
The Staff decides whether to accept the donor blood or not. For valid donor paper will be maintained manually.
DRAWBACKS OF EXISTING SYSTEM
The present system is ineffective in logging and maintaining the details of donors and consumers
This way of maintaining the details cause errors and results in slow processing.
In the existing manual system, a lot of time is spent in communication among different blood banks.
The data is not readily available and doing a search among those record becomes tedious.
The data stored in paper is insecure from damages for a long time.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
Allows online registration for donors. Gives the details of blood donation camps.
All the process of submission of registration form is quite simple.
Registered donor gets all the details regarding the camp via cell phone messages.
Searching through numerous data of blood donors based on certain criteria is simplified
The process of informing them is automated.
Donor Registration form
Willing people can register their with his/her personal and contact details
This personal details includes blood group for an searching crietria
Here contact details includes the mail id and cell phone number.
CONCLUSION
The present system is ineffective in logging and maintaining all the details of donors and consumers in a convenient manner.
Hence there is a need for an integrated and automated system which has a centralized control over the entire process, which our project will be delivering.
The newly proposed system simplifies the registration of donors, increases the speed of analyzing and searching through the profiles of donors and automates the process of intimation of information.
