DESCRIPTION
The flip-flop’s are the built-in units of the register , Thus both are related to each other.
FLIP-FLOP:- The storage element employed in clock sequential circuits are called Flip-Flop.
It has capacity to store 1-bit of binary information.
REGISTER:-Register is group of Flip-Flop.
as a flip-flop store 1-bit of information , a n-bit register store n-bit binary information .
Register
Group of Flip-Flop.
Each Flip-Flop has capacity of storing 1-bit of information.
It is basically used in memory development.
It is under MSI circuits
A Basic Register
Basic registers are easy to build. We can store multiple bits just by putting a bunch of flip-flops together!
A 4-bit register is shown on the right, and its internal implementation is below.
This register uses D flip-flops
it’s easy to store data without worrying about flip-flop input equations.
All the flip-flops share a common CLK and CLR signal
