Bus Ticket Automation
Bus Ticket Automation.doc (Size: 31 KB / Downloads: 47)
Aim: To design and develop a microcontroller based system using which displays the to and fro stations and the fare for the same.
Working:
This automated project should be used in each bus since it is very cost-effective and reduces the burden of the passengers as well as the conductors. Keys are been assigned to each station. The source station and destination stations are entered using a 4X4 matrix keypad and the fare for the same is displayed on the LCD. When the key for the source station is pressed, microcontroller reads the EEPROM and displays the corresponding station on the LCD, then the key for destination station is pressed which is again displayed on the LCD. After a few seconds, the fare for the source and destination is displayed which is again read from the EEPROM. This project can be modified by adding RTC and printer to it, so that a ticket can be printed with the stations, current time and fare.
The system contains following modules;
1. Microcontroller
2. LCD
3. Keypad
4. Serial EEPROM
1. Microcontroller
Microcontroller is the electronic device which contains processing
Power, memory and IO ports to interact with different connected devices. It is responsible for reading the stations according to the keys pressed and also reading the fare from the same.
2. LCD
LCD displays the source station and the destination station and also the required fare.
3. Keypad
Different keys are assigned to different stations. When the source and destination station keys are pressed, LCD displays the fare for the same.
4. Serial EEPROM
Serial EEPROM is used to store different stations and fares which is read by the microcontroller after each key press.
