ABSTRACT
This report provides information about the coin sorter machine completed by our group(Karan, Abhilash and Abdullah). It debates the benefits of the coin sorter along with the problems of this machine. There is also data about the mechanism on which our coin sorter works. The report also tell about some of the challenges faced by our group in the development of groundwork of this machine.
GREETINGS
I would like to thanks my group mates namely (Abhilash and Abdullah) which helps to make a simple and aggressive coin sorter. And also the lecturer, Mr. Mustufa Ucgul who gives us needed information/guidance which help me in preparation of machine.
Introduction
This is a simple and colorful coin sorter machine, which is separate $2, 20 cents and 50 cents coins. This coin sorter working on simple mechanism, i.e. the sorter can separate the coins due to their different size and dimensions. If we have this coin sorter we can get rid of separating coins by hands. As this coin sorter works on a simple mechanism, the chances for errors become negligible. If we put more than one coin at a time this machine cannot separate the coins. Because, there will be chance of an error or coin struck in between the lane. Coins in this sorter are together in their relevant slots.
Main section
This coin sorter machine is grouping of creativity and mechanism. The platform of this coin sorter is kept in spiral form and the side rest runs along with the platform and the wall runs with the platform with regularly increasing distance from the platform, in direction to separate the coins. All the material which is used to make the coin sorter is very cheap and renewable.
Conclusion
In the conclusion I would like to point out that by this project I have knowledgeable many things i.e. importance of team work, how creativity can help in solving out different challenges. During whole journey of mine i.e. right from starting date until now, our group has tried different type of wild ideas in order to make this sorter inspired and surprising. I have also learned that this simple machine can be used in many different fields, for example in banks for sorting coins in ATMs, in public transports for ease in calculating the coins, etc. So overall this was a fun but challenging experience for me and my team mates and I am satisfied of what the end product has turned out to be.
