What Is CSS
"Cascading Style Sheet." Cascading style sheets are used to format the layout of Web pages. They can be used to define text styles, table sizes, and other aspects of Web pages that previously could only be defined in a page's HTML.
How css works?
CSS overrides the browser’s default settings for interpreting how tags should be displayed, letting you use any HTML element indicated by an opening and closing tag (including the <p> tag) to apply style attributes defined either locally or in a stylesheet.
Why css is important?
CSS is one of the most powerful tools a Web designer can learn because with it you can affect the entire mood and tone of a Web site
CSS can cascade, and combine and browsers interpret the directives differently, CSS is more difficult than plain HTML
Version of css
CSS has envolved over the past several years under the guidance of the W3C into its current form. There are four level which are founded by css designers-
Level 1 (CSS1)
This early version included core capabilities, such as the ability to format text, set fonts, and set margins.
Future of css
Columns The most exciting new feature proposed for CSS3 is the ability to create flexible columns for layout.
Web fonts Although CSS2 theoretically provides downloadable-font capability, it’s still too hard to use.
Color profiles One common problem with graphics is that they may be darker or lighter, depending on the computer being used.
