A STUDY AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN EFFECTIVE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR IMPROVING QUALITY AT EVANGELSOFT
ABSTRACT
In the field of Human Resource Management(HRM), Training and Development is the field
which is concerned with organizational activity aimed at bettering the performance of individuals
and groups in organizational settings. It has been known by several names, including human
resource development, and learning and development. Training and Development is a process
dealing primarily with transferring or obtaining knowledge, attitudes, and skills. In the field of
Human resource management, Training and Development is the field concerned with
organizational activity aimed at bettering the performance of individuals and groups in
organizational settings. This project is concerned with the study of the existing training and
development process at Evangelsoft IT solutions and identifying critical failure factors of the
same. After the study, I have found that there is ineffective training and development process. So
the necessary data was collected by meeting managers and employees with the help of
questionnaire which is followed by personal interviews helped in gathering information. The
information so collected has been analyzed and updated. The entire report has been written in a
lucid manner and with the support of relevant illustrations. The analysis of the questionnaires is
done based on my interactions with managers and employees in the organization. I have
suggested the flow chart and effective job rotation of the training and development process and
which represents the importance of the effective training and development process adopted by
the Evangelsoft IT solutions.
INTRODUCTION
When an employee is selected or placed and introduced in the organization he/she
must be provided with the training facilities in order to adjust to the job. Training is the act of
increasing the knowledge and the skill of the employee for doing a particular job. Training is
a short term educational process and utilizing a systematic and organized procedure by which
employees learn technical knowledge and skills for a definite purpose. Training is a learning
process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts, rules or
changing of attitudes and behaviour to enhance the performance of employees. Training is a
learning activity directed towards the acquisition of specific knowledge and skills for the
purpose of task. Since the object of training is to assist a learner acquire the behaviour
necessary for effective work performance, it is essential that a clear grasp of the ways in
which learning theories are applied when designing training programs are laid bare. Training
is an important activity undertaken to ensure employees at all levels have the necessary skills
to carry out their roles effectively and to ensure the achievement of the organisation’s
objectives. Fundamental importance is the identification of the value that training adds to the
performance of the organisation. Specifically this relates to how the organisation decides
what training is needed by its staff, how the training is carried out, how the organisation
evaluates the effectiveness of its education and training activities and what processes are put
in place to improve the delivery and effectiveness of education and training programs.

is a product of the human relations movement of the early 20th century, when researchers
began documenting ways of creating business value through the strategic management of the
workforce. The function was initially dominated by transactional work such as payroll and
benefits administration, but due to globalization, company consolidation, technological
advancement, and further research, HR now focuses on strategic initiatives like mergers and
acquisitions, talent management, succession planning, industrial and labor relations and
diversity and inclusion. In startup companies, HR's duties may be performed by a handful of
trained professionals or even by non-HR personnel.

Importance of Training and Development
No organisation can get a candidate who exactly matches with the job and the
organisational requirements. Hence, training and development is important to develop the
employee and make him/her suitable to the job. Training works towards value addition to the
company through human resource development (HRD). Job and organisational requirements
are not static, they are changed from time to time in view of technological advancement and
change in the awareness of the total quality and productivity management.
PROBLEM DEFINITION
Training and Development play a vital role in each and every organization in the
competitive world. Considering it, my study on training and development at Evangelsoft
gives me a scope to know about the methods and techniques adopted by Evangelsoft to train
their employees effectively. The problem statement include various factors such as knowing
the training and development facilities to the employees and also know what best effort has
been put in by the firm to improvise it so that it can be utilized effectively and efficiently by
the employees in the organization.
STUDY OF EXISTING TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM
Strictly speaking there is no training and development department at Evangelsoft IT
Solutions. While conducting the walk-in employer screen the candidates ,if they are eligible
to organizational standards then employer appoint the particular eligible candidates and
assigns the work directly if not reject the candidates. Suppose if a selected candidate fails to
perform the specified task then particular employee undergoes training for the particular
specified task by the subordinates and the team leaders.
