Abstracts: Rails are the member of the track laid in two parallel lines to provide an unchanging, continuous, and level surface for the movement of trains. It is made of high carbon steel. At present flat-footed rail section are used. The rail is designated by the weight per unit length. In general 52kg/m rail section is used. The two heavier rail section 52kg & 60kg are recently introduced. These rail sections are produce by rolling process. The process of plastically deforming metal by passing it between roll is known as rolling. In deforming the metal between rolls, the work is subjected to high compressive stresses from the squeezing action of the rolls and to surface shear stresses or a result of the friction between the rolls & the metal. The design for the rollers of the roll pass for making rail section will be modeled in CREO. The stresses produce during each pass into the steel section will also be calculated and it should not be more than the permissible value for comparing stress values. The model created will be analyzed with the help of ANSYS software.
