Abstracts: : Process industry faces several problems while using heat exchangers. Through which scaling in the heat exchanger is the major problem .so, we selected to concentrate on various solutions for removal of this kind of problem. Fouling is a major barrier for wide use of heat exchangers in the process industry. Corrosion processes taking in process water are of critical importance as well because it can render metal surfaces on the heat exchanger completely useless. Prevention of scale deposits can benefit process industries by eliminating or at minimizing unexpected production shut-downs and by offering substantial savings. This projects focuses on crystallization fouling and deposition (especially by calcium carbonate) and its mitigation by using various chemical treatment approaches. Analysing the methods to reduce the scaling in shell and tube heat exchanger and improve its performance by improving its effectiveness. Reducing the scaling problem with the help of different chemicals i.e. HCL, H2SO4, HCOOH, HNO3. Check out how efficiently scaling problem can be reduced by using chemical cleaning method and also effectiveness of the shell and tube heat exchanger.
