What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud Computing is a technology that uses the internet and central remote servers to maintain data and applications.
It allows businesses to use applications without installation and access their personal files at any computer with internet access.
It provides software , data access and storage services that do not require end-user knowledge of the physical location and configuration of the system that delivers the services.
Concept of Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is internet(“cloud”) based development and use of computer technology (“computing”).
Users need not have knowledge of or control over the technology infrastructure “in the cloud”.
The term “cloud” is used as a metaphor for the internet, based on how the internet is depicted in computer network diagrams.
Cloud computing is the utilization of many servers housed in many different locations and interconnected by high speed networks.
The idea is that, instead of hosting all your applications and data on one server or in one location, make them mobile.
Characteristics of Cloud Computing
Device and Location independence
Pay per use
On-demand self service
Rapid elasticity
Reliability
Scalability
Performance

Types of Clouds
Public Cloud : It describes the cloud computing in the traditional mainstream sense, whereby resources are dynamically provisioned on self-service basis over the Internet from an off-side third-party provider who shares resources on a fine-grained utility computing basis.
Private Cloud : It is infrastructure operated solely for a single organization, whether managed internally or by a third-party and hosted internally or externally.
Hybrid Cloud : It is a composition of two or more clouds that remian unique entities but are bound together, offering the benefits of multiple deployment models.
