The government of India in its drive to construct Rural roads to all unconnected habitants all over the country is aimed to provide relief to the people of these unconnected Habitations under a host of rural development programmes. Due to the fact that rural connectivity is poor in the country and in some states 50% habitations are unconnected at present. As such most of the population in each state is still deprived off of the basic facility of an all weather road. The government of India under various schemes has started a mass drive for connecting such habitations and now under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Youjna the efforts of the government under common minimum programme has framed core network plans in every state on block level and distcit level to identify such unconnected habitations and then taking up of construction of these roads (all weather) to facilitate the people of these areas. Under this programme Methmu to Mahidar (Pahlipora) road has been approved for constriction in block Shangus of district Anantnag as this village has no facility of an all weather road to connect the village Mahidar (Pahlipora) with the main village and with the main road.
