Abstracts: In this project an overall design data of the hoisting mechanism of an EOT crane has been carried out, in previous semester we have collected and studied all data related to hoisting mechanism. Generally Hoisting design is always a very complicated in industry because it covers many criteria and environments. Here we have tried to do it easy by simple equations and analyze it on different parameter so it helps while designing and optimizing any components. Generally hoisting mechanism mainly deals with design of hook, wire rope diameter, wire rope drum and motor torque required for lifting and trolley which travels on girders. But here we are not designing trolley because of time constrains so we designed other all mentioned components and try to develop some conclusions which might helpful to industry plus designer at some extent.
