ABSTRACT
• To Design a circuit of an electronic intelligent bus status identification system.
• Develop new ideas to implement this circuit purposely.
• To study the circuitry and different types of components & IR LED, photodiode, DTMF generator, DTMF decoder, decade 80C51 microcontroller, LCD display in the circuit.
Here is a simple and inexpensive circuit to identify the current bus status on your traffic control room. Recently the traffic department has introduced the facility of bus status identification system for cities for cities like Mumbai and New Delhi. Many companies have already advertised their products which can display the vehicle status information with added features like storage of the previous status number. The circuit of bus status identification system presented which has been used in this project for displaying the bus stand number.
The dedicated DTMF-to-BCD converter IC-CM8870 forms the heart of this circuit. This IC converts the incoming DTMF signals sent by the DTMF generator signals into corresponding BCD codes.
This is a work done on “DTMF”. Conventionally, when you press a button in the DTMF generator set keypad for data send, a connection is made that generates a resultant signal of two tones at the same time. These two tones are taken from a row frequency and a column frequency. The resultant frequency signal is called "Dual Tone Multiple Frequency". These tones are identical and unique.
The data signal is converted into binary code, binary form using a DTMF decoder. 7-segment decoder drives the 7 segment display for bus status information.
