Abstracts: Solar energy is one of the high potential, widely & freely available renewable resources. Earth surface receive solar energy in amount of 1000 W/m2. India receives an annual average intensity of solar radiation 7000 MJ/m2/year . In India electricity produced with the help of solar energy till 2012 is 941.24 MW. If we utilize solar energy at 10% of efficiency on 10% of total land of India, We will get 8 times more energy than present total annual energy consumption of India. India’s current expense on cooking gas is 3 billion dollar. If we transform present solar energy into heat energy at 10% of efficiency & with 5% of usage efficiency, we can save 58 times more gas cylinder than present consumption, which is equivalent to consumption of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh & Utter Pradesh for 10 years. With aim to reduce 80% of usage of conventional fuel for cooking, we are developing such a system which as quick as conventional cooking system with same life as conventional system, easy to assemble, easy to operate, cost effective and give 24 x 7 cooking facility with zero running cost. This system will save 8 lacs lives per year and boost country’s economy as well. We will develop sun powered cooking system with same facilities as present cooking system.
