DESIGN OF PULSE OXYMETER AND LOGGING DATA ON INTERNET ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT
In this project we present a health care system that can be managed from distance using the
internet. This has been one of the most significant considerations in the fortification of human
civilization. This design will be very useful in many potential applications beyond the settings
where it has already been established, such as clinics, hospitals and long‐term care facilities.
Indeed, it could make an extremely significant contribution to medical care. Basically, our
system detects health parameters in analog signal form through bio‐sensor i.e., Nellcor D‐25,
the signal is then digitized through ADC 0804, programmed through micro‐controller and sends
to the PC and store the patients' health parameters along with patient history in the database
(Sql Server) which can be accessed easily through highly featured web page (prepared
onASP.Net), which can be further viewed and recommended by the medical professionals. One
of the main challenges that the application aims to solve is for the health consultant to bring
the patient records without difficulty. Here,we tried to implement all our knowledge to develop
a system which will be practically significant as the medical instruments must be very precised
and safe. With the help of this project a person’s medical record can be accessed online, full
consultation can be carried out online. This system includes a referral to a remote expert to
give a diagnosis and advise treatment and is therefore of value to a patient; particularly when
the alternative is a long journey to a hospital including accommodation for family members.
