Abstracts: IN RECENT YEARS, THE AIR DRYERS IN POWDER COATED PARTS' MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY SUFFERS FROM HIGH OPERATING COSTS DUE TO RAPID RISE IN FUEL PRICES. HERE WE PRESENT A BROAD AND COMPREHENSIVE REPORT ON AIR DRYER WHICH OPERATES WITH SOLAR ENERGY IN ALTERNATE TO CONVENTIONAL FUELS EXPLAINING THE VARIOUS METHODS OF EFFECTIVE SOLAR HEAT COLLECTION FOR THE SPECIFIC APPLICATION, SELECTION OF SOLAR COLLECTORS, VARIOUS TRACKING METHODS AND THE SELECTION OF MATERIALS. THIS REPORT IS INTENDED TO FORMALIZE THE PROCEDURES FOR SELECTION OF SOLAR COLLECTOR FOR HEATING OF DRYING CHAMBER BY MEASURING HEAT AND TEMPERATURE REQUIRED BY THE CHAMBER FOR DRYING OF EACH BATCH. THE PRESENT REPORT WILL OFFER AN OVERVIEW OF THE COST ANALYSIS OF THE CONVENTIONAL DRYER USED IN THE INDUSTRY. ALSO THE PARAMETRIC STUDY OF SOLAR AIR DRYER THAT MAY REPLACE THE CONVENTIONAL METHOD OF HEATING.
