DESIGNING GLUCOMETER IN MOBILE FOR HUMAN BENEFIT

INTRODUCTION:
As if we know that the diabetes has become common in this world. Lakhs of people are affected by this disease. It has been common to them to check there blood glucose regularly in order to maintain there blood glucose and live an peaceful life. We know that it is much important to maintain blood glucose so that the functioning of blood will be in perfect manner. where as in today’s trend much cheaper and much sophisticated glucometer has been designed for the portable, easy method of measurement of blood glucose. So on the basis of this many had tried there best for designing a much better product. The existing model is checking blood glucose in mobile by interfacing through Bluetooth but in our model we had designed the glucometer inside the mobile for much sophistication.
EXISTING MODEL:
In the existing model they had designed a glucometer interfaced with mobile for the helpful of the physically challenged and disable person. The entire process involves use of photo spectroscopic effect to determine the glucose levels. An apparatus for non invasively measuring bio-fluid concentrations using photo spectroscopy includes, a light source for irradiating an incident light having a predetermined wavelength which is absorbed into a targeted component of a living body, a measuring head which holds the finger intact having both the transmitter end and the receiver end, a light detector for detecting the intensity of the incident light and an electronic signal processing unit(ESPU) which determines the glucose concentration using signal compensation and sends the output in the audio format. Bluetooth chip is connected to the ESPU through which the output is transmitted to mobile phone after pairing.
OUR MODEL:
In our model we had designed a glucometer in such a method that the circuit is attached and it is interfaced directly with the mobile and back portion of mobile is designed in such a way that it includes the glucometer in it and the insertion of strap is also done in which the blood is placed. This glucometer in mobile can be operated in smart phones in which the application of the glucometer is installed and from which we can test the blood glucose in an easy manner. The one more benefit through this is that it can be even be sent to other location. For example it can be sent to doctor so that he can verify his report.
ADVANTAGES OVER EXISTING MODEL:
•On the based on patients will he/she can test based on both blood or blood less test through this project.
•It is much sophisticated and portable to all.
•It requires less time when compared to others.
•And the overcome of existing model is that there may be interrupt of any other signal during transmission through Bluetooth but in this model there may not be such interrupt.
•Simultaneously we can design the mobile in such a way that we can measure heart rate, respiratory rate, spo2, BP, temperature, etc for the sophistication of human.
•And this project is done by our college student of Velalar College of Engineering and Technology which may be existing as soon we complete our project over it.
