Abstracts: Milling process is widely used in most of the manufacturing industries due to its capability of producing complex geometric surfaces with reasonable accuracy and surface finish. However, with the inventions of vertical milling centre (VMC), the flexibility has been adopted along with versatility in surface milling process. The selection of optimal machining parameters like spindle speed, depth of cut and feed rate for milling operations will be investigated in order to minimize the surface roughness and to maximize the material removal rate. Response surface methodology will be used for design of experiments and ANOVA will be used for analysis of the process parameters.
