DEVELOPMENT OF CENTRALISED COOLANT SYSTEM:
DEVELOPMENT OF CENTRALISED COOLANT SYSTEM.docx (Size: 41.69 KB / Downloads: 36)
It is process in which coolant is pumped to the manifold using a RK400/300 single pump and distributes to the flush, flood, push and coolant gun through the distributor.
CURRENT SITUATION:
The coolant tank has four pumps:
Pump for chip flush - RKM206.
Chip push - RKM 206.
Chip flood - RK160.
Coolant gun - Rk160.
The cost of each pump = Rs 6100
The total cost of all four pumps = Rs 24400
The power utilization to run the pumps = (1.5 kw x 4=6kw)
The items required to assemble the pumps is higher.
The time taken for motor assembly includes retapping,
Fitting connection for all four pumps = 40 min.
The time taken for wiring connections = 1hr.
DRAW BACKS IN CURRENT SITUATION:
The maintenance of all four pumps will take more time and cost.
Space occupies more.
The cost of pump is more.
The power utilization is high.
Thetime taken for assembles the motor and wiring is high.
MPCB-safety device is individual for all the pumps.
The individual controlling process or logics are required to control each pump.
If any one pump undergoes any problem the machine will be in idle condition.
PROPOSAL:
Develop the coolant process using a RK400/300 single pump instead of four pumps to distribute the respective path.
We can reduce the cost from Rs 28000 to Rs 20000.
Reduce the maintenance cost and time.
Reduce the time taken for assemble the motors and wirings.
Few items are required and single MPCB is enough for single pump.
This process is makes easier to operator by reducing logics.
Power will be saving from 4.5 KW to 1.5 KW.
PLAN OF ACTION :
Use single Rk 400/300 pump.
This pump has 400lpm discharge.
This assembly requires two control valves for chip flood and chip push.
These Control valves are operated by single solenoid.
Central manifold is required to supply the coolant to the respective path.
