Whenever a person approaches the up going escalator & steps in the weight sensor. The signal is catches by the programmed IC & it starts the corresponding motor to run the escalator via the gearbox. The escalator starts running & the person also steps in the escalator. The escalator run for a specific time interval as provided by the âââ¬ÃÅvariable timerâââ‰â¢. This variable timer is manually adjustable. The adjustment is carried out by trial and error basis according to the length of the escalator & thus the specific timer interval is set. Thus specific time interval should be sufficient enough to allow the escalator run into approximately 3/4 length or 0.75 revolution of the entire escalator belt.
