The Conventional sources of energy are rapidly depleting and cost of power has been escalating day by day. Thus an alternative renewable source of energy has become a vital necessity. Photovoltaic system is one of the most promising renewable sources of energy. Aim of this project is to increase the efficiency of solar panel and battery using boost converter circuit and inverter. We have proposed a model of solar panel interfaced with closed loop dc-dc boost converter which considerably steps up the output power which could meet the demand of power. Boost converter circuit doubles the input power given to it from battery or solar panel. The inerter will convert the DC power to AC taken from solar panel or battery. There is a PIC controller connected with a boost converter circuit to control the output voltage. The output power generated by solar panel is very less but can be increased by interfacing it with boost converter.
