Abstracts: A Parallel Disk Continuously Variable Transmission System (PDCVT) is power and torque transmission device. In situations where a speed ratio is required to be changed frequently, continuously variable transmission is one of the desirable solutions. The PDCVT system is one such solution which offers the advantages such as high power to weight ratio and reliability in operation. First of all, the design and development concept of the existing PDCVT system are study and considering limitation and modification are discussed which will enable to make PDCVT more efficiently power transmission by avoiding its drawback of slipping of balls by providing effective pressure device to make proper contact, by reducing size make compact, changing bearings, lever mechanism and all possible modification in design of system of PDCVT which make it efficient. The concept of our project is to transmit power smoothly from one shaft to another shaft by using parallel discs and ball. So we are going to select such a mechanism which will give us best result of transmitting power and motion.
