Abstracts: We the students of “Gujarat Technological University” from “Darshan Institute of Engineering & Technology” attempting for the final year project named “Design and implementation of biogas plant” are thankful to our dedicated faculties of mechanical engineering department to give us the opportunity for this grand project. We are glad to implement this project in the nearby village by collecting the entire design & operational data for that particular village under the special guidance of our respected faculty Mr. Subhesh P. Patel. Our complete focus will be on designing the biogas plant with modern engineering views, which will enable us to apply our study Knowledge & engineering ideas. Generally the biogas plant is included in the segment of non-conventional plants. Recently there are no enhancements of establishing the biogas plants according to Indian scenario. Undoubtedly this plant is widely implemented on the rural scale which is commonly known as ‘Gobar Gas Plant’ in order to use the unwanted cattle dungs & facility of large space. This plant is basically an ancient technology which is not formerly accepted by urban regions due to its operational limitations & lack of raw organic matter in required quantity but in future era it has the scope on commercial level replacing the refineries due to the arose scarcity of crude oil. European countries are actually participated in contributing their entrepreneurship in biogas plant as there are favorable government policies but in India there is no special policy for enhancing this plant. So we are interested to introduce this precious ancient technology to Indian people making certain design & operational modifications in order to make the plant more efficient & modern with the view to make it a futuristic conventional plant which can be eco-friendly for our earth
