AIM OF THE PROJECT
In this project we design a system to display the station name in the train just before the train arrives in the station, and indicate the distance between the train and the station.
Architecture
The ARM7TDMI-S is a general purpose 32-bit microprocessor, which offers high performance and very low power consumption.
The ARM architecture is based on Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) principles, and the instruction set .
Pipeline techniques are employed so that all parts of the processing and memory systems can operate continuously.
Interfacing Zigbee with LPC2148
Interfacing ZigBee module with LPC2148 Primer Board for used for controlling application through UART0. The data communication is done in internet by using the ZigBee module through MAX232 into the SBUF register of LPC2148 microcontroller (refer serial interfacing with LPC2148). The serial data from the Zigbee receiver is taken by using the Serial Interrupt of the controller. +5V and ground is connected to provide power to the module. While TX and RX pin is connected for communication.
Interfacing GPS with LPC2148
Receive data from satellite to LPC2148 Primer Board by using GPS module through UART0. The serial data is taken from the GPS module through MAX232 into the SBUF register of LPC2148 microcontroller (refer serial interfacing with LPC2148). The serial data from the GPS receiver is taken by using the Serial Interrupt of the controller. This data consists of a sequence of NMEA sentences from which GPGGA sentence is identified and processed.
PINS TO INTERFACE:

Interfacing 4 bit LCD with LPC2148
We now want to display a text in LPC2148 Primer Board by using 4 bit LCD module.
The ARM7 LPC2148 Primer board has seven numbers of LCD connections are needed to create 4-bit interface; connected with 4 data bits
(P0.19 – P0.22, D4-D7), address bit (RS-P0.16), read/write bit (R/W-P0.17) and control signal (E-P0.18) to make LCD display.
DISCRIPTION :
In our project we design a system which gives the information like the station name and the distance between train and the station before it arrives in the station. In this unit we have three sections, two station sections and a train module. In the station modules we have GPS module and Zigbee transceiver. Using GPS latitude and longitude values, we will calculate the location of the station and give the information to the controller. This information from the controller is transmitted by Zigbee transmitter to the nearby train that is arriving the station and the name of the station is displaced on the LED panel in the train. This happens in every station. The Zigbee receiver in the train module receives the information about the station and displays the name of the nearby station and distance in the LCD and LED panel. In this way we will be able to know what would be the next station and the distance of the train to station.
ADVANTAGE:
The people travelling in the train will not be alert at all the time and sometimes there will be huge crowd that they can’t identify the location and station. So from this project people can know the name of the coming station and distance from the previous station .
