Abstracts: The objective of this project is to develop green composites which will degrade in the environmental condition. Sugarcane Bagasse fiber is to utilize as a filler in selective thermoplastic. This new environmental friendly composites with comparable mechanical & biodegradable properties may likely to replace non-degradable plastics. The project has commercial importance from the environmental point, which gives green environment friendly materials which are neutral to CO2 emission & reduce the consumption of synthetic thermoplastic derived from petroleum sources. To determine the possibility of using Sugarcane Bagasse (SCB) waste as reinforcing filler in the thermoplastic polymer matrix, SCB reinforced Polypropylene (PP) composite were prepared. The PP & SCB composite were prepared by the extrusion of PP resin with 10, 20 and 30 wt % of SCB filler in a co-rotating twin screw extruder. The extruded strands where cut into pellets and injection molded to make test specimen.
