Distributed Cache Updating for the Dynamic Source Routing Protocol
1PPT.ppt (Size: 1.36 MB / Downloads: 46)
Project Objectives
The DSR reduces the Data loss and Latency time, while data transmission through the network.
Every Node (System) in the network should have the information about the neighboring Nodes.
The Node automatically handles the Cache Updation Process if any Link failure is happened in the Network.
Proposed System
It mainly concentrates on the route failures in the network
It is proactively disseminating the broken link information to the nodes that have that link in their caches.
It defines a new cache structure called a cache table and present a distributed cache update algorithm.
Each node maintains the information necessary for cache updates in its cache table.
Advantage of Proposed System
Proactive cache updating also prevents stale routes from being propagated to other nodes.
The algorithm enables DSR to adapt quickly to topology changes.
The algorithm quickly removes stale routes no matter how nodes move and which traffic model is used
Modules Description
Module 1: Route Request
Source node broadcasts Route Request to all of its neighbors, when the route to the destination is not found in its local cache.
The neighbor node receives Route Request and checks whether it has a route to the destination in its cache or not.
