Dressing etiquette is the way we interact with our clothing and dress. Dressing elegant has much to do with dressing appropriately for any of the ceremony. Decency in attire is practiced by Sikh men and women. There are consist of 5 Sikh as an identity symbols make a Sikh unique from other culture influence which consist of Kesh, Kara,Kachera and Kirpan. Sikh women wear traditional dress called Salwar Kameez which is loose fitting top and bottoms, with a piece of cloth to cover the head and draped around the shoulders which is known “Dupatta”. Sikh women are known by unshorn hair kept in a bun and a steel bracelet which is known“Kara” worn on the left wrist. However, Sikh men commonly wear Kurta Pajama. It is a kind of long tailored shirt with slide slits up to the pocket and it may have a finished or straight edge cuffs and a rounded or straight them. The pajama is a loose pant which is made from fabric to match the kurta. Besides that, Sikh men weared turban to cover their long hair, which for respect their God’s creation and also give them Sikh identity, responsibility, high moral standard, a symbol of religious belief as well as gives inner strength . The turban consists of few styles such as Domalla, Pagri, Dastar, Keski, Patka and Fifty.

Nevertheless, there is no much different in dressing style in Sikh women and Indian women. Indian women and young girls prefer to wear traditional Indian dress which are saree and punjabi suit which is made from cotton or silk.Moreover, in North Indians they seen that Punjabi suit is more comfortable and convenient than saree and worn more by women of all ethnic groups. For Indian men,they usually wear jippa and veshti during any occasion and they prefer to wear shorts or jeans during normal days.
