As we know in present system tender advertising is done through news papers which is causing problems like communication gap between companies and government authorities because of this problem competition is reducing, ultimately cost of project is increasing. So developing this project can fix this problem by submitting tender details to a dedicated tender site which will be visible for every company and apply for tender through this web site if they are satisfied with the provided tender quotation .This process will reduce time and provide option for different companies respond to the tender.
EXISTING SYSTEM
In present situation tender system is performed manually which involves lot of manual work and which is a time involved process. Most of the existing systems are not based on web. It is a manual process that administrator needs to invite tender application through the newspaper, and then contractors apply for the tender manually to the administrator. Then the administrator assigns a particular staff to manage each tender it is very time consuming and also it needs a lot of paper works and documentation. Record maintenance is not accurate there are many chances of loss of data which will cause serious problems while preparing reports. It uses more spaces to store the information and wastage of spaces.
There is processing delay. So the organization needs more number of employees. All the information regarding various tenders is giving to the admin, and that is assigned to a staff by the admin and the staff user produces the result to the admin. Then the corresponding result is given to the requested user by the admin. In order to involve in tendering process people should travel a long way.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
The initial investigation reveals that there is a need of computerization of the Existing system, to improve the efficiency and to overcome the problems faced by the manual task.. All the tedious calculations are performed by using written programs. The proposed system makes the task of managing system more easily. The system proposed is a new system along with all features of the existing system. The main objective of the proposed system is to develop a computerized tendering process and to minimize the problem faced by manual system.
As the information technology is growing widely there is lot of scope for finding solution for problems of existing system by developing a portal which can resolve all these issues. This portal provides organizations to register with this system and upload tender details. Since this application is visible from all over the world clients can log into this site and apply for tenders and submit their quotations to the organizations on the project by filling a from through online. Companies are informed as soon as clients apply for tender so organizations can contact clients for further information or they can communicate through this application. This portal can be customized for cooperative sectors, public sectors and other state government
SQL Server 2005
SQL Server 2005 also allows a database server to be exposed over web services using TDS packets encapsulated within SOAP (protocol) requests. When the data is accessed over web services, results are returned as XML. SQL Server 2005 has also been enhanced with new indexing algorithms and better error recovery systems. The Microsoft SQL server 2005 database has been selected as the database of choice of the internet information server and active server pages .When we store data in SQL server we store data in tables. When we install SQL server it creates a master database device. The master database device contains all the system databases used internally by SQL server such as the master and temp databases. SQL Server 2005 exceeds dependability requirements and provides innovative capabilities that increase employee effectiveness, integrate heterogeneous IT ecosystems, and maximize capital and operating budgets.
