Abstracts: In this project, Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a process for shaping hard metals and forming deep complex shaped Specimens by arc erosion in all kinds of electroconductive materials. The objective of this project is to study the influence of operating parameters of EN-31 on the machining characteristics such as surface quality, material removal rate and electrode wear. Then , the conformation test needed to evaluate the error margin between predicted result and conformation result by experimental in terms of the machining charecteristics. The effectiveness of EDM process with EN-31, is evaluated in terms of the material removal rate and the surface finish quality of the workpiece produced. It is observed that cooper electrode is the most suitable for use as tool electrode in EDM of EN-31.Better machining performance is obtained generally with the electrode as the cathode and the workpiece as an anode. In this project , a study is carried out on the influence of parameters such peak current, power supply voltage, spark on time and spark off time. Material removal rate (MRR) and electrode wear (EW0 in this experiment we will calculate by using mathematical method. The result of the experiment we will collect and analyzed.
