ABSTRACT
This paper enlightens the significance of Geometry based channel modeling.
When this type of channel model is combined with MIMO technology the performance is enhanced.

Satellite Communications is about moving data or information across large distances under some specific
resource constraints:

speed
How MIMO Works
MIMO takes advantage of multi-path.
MIMO -multiple antennas to send multiple parallel signals (from tr).
“Multi-path” occurs when the different signals arrive at the receiver at various times.
With MIMO, the receiving end uses an algorithm or special signal processing.
REASON FOR OPTING FROM 2D TO 3D
As the vector space defines the physical quantities whose value is changing with respect to time and co ordinates.it is difficult to model in 2D.
To overcome this we go for 3D channel model- spherical co ordinates
It is easy to analyse the electromagnetic spectrum in 3D.
Conclusion
3D channel model includes most significant parameters -the performance can be improved
Further, the 2D channel model requires more number of parameters for optimizing the performance.
When 3D channel model is used the same performance can be obtained using less number of parameters.
