Abstract:
Various kinds of speech recognition systems are available today but there are hardly a few which help the ‘deaf-and dumb’. Pen-based interface systems which are used for on-line recognition technology have been widely developed. But almost all systems aren't taking into consideration for speech disabled persons. So we propose a device system which can be used to provide speech for the disabled persons to help people who are dumb or having difficulties to speak. This device is works on head movement and finger movement based voice enable device switching which is wireless technology. Here we use transmission and receiver section for communicating the message. The transmission section has voice module and MEMS sensor. The receiver interface with load and controller . Using MEMS sensor, which is attach in movable part of the body we can convey the message by moving the sensor, hence the transmitter used to transmit the input and the receiver obtain that signal, based on this the device is operated. The system will be made portable in addition. The above proposal provides for vocally challenged person to announce their basic requirement and it low cost product that would help the dumb to lead live in the world like others.
Introduction:
Nowadays developing technologies do a lot of miracles in our day today life. But do those miracles reach all sort of people, the bitter truth is no. If we consider the physically challenged people these technologies won’t help them as such. One of the important problems that the community faces is that people with disabilities are finding it hard to cope up the fast growing technology. Even though there had been a variety of instruments evolved to help vocally challenged people, they are rendered helpless and unable to communicate with the outside world! Hence it’s high time that we not only focus on our development, but also theirs! So we have proposed a device to help them considerably.
Objective:
In real time there had been number of equipment to aid the needs of physically challenged ones. And they alternate them to some extent. But people with speaking disabilities find more difficulties, especially in case of children and illiterates it’s much more difficult to communicate. So they badly need a instrument. Hence we made this proposal, to convince their basic requirement. When compared with existing speech recognition system our model is more easy to access, compact and cost effective too.

MEMS:
Micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) is the technology of very small mechanical devices driven by electricity. They are made up of components between 1 to 100 micrometres in size (i.e. 0.001 to 0.1 mm) and are devices generally range in size from 20 micrometres(20 millionths of a meter) to millimetre.
