Abstracts: In the present work, a project on Fiber Laser Cutting and its process parameters has been undertaken. From the various controllable parameters of Fiber Laser Cutting such as Velocity, Power, Frequency, Duty min speed, Duty max speed, Duty min %, Duty max %, Gas type, Gas pressure, Standoff, Focal, Lead-in speed, Cutting diameter, Nozzle diameter etcetera, three parameters are chosen and the effect of these parameters on surface roughness are to be observed. The Fiber Laser Cutting machine used for this experiment is Danobat IRIS. Power, Speed and Gas pressure are chosen and taking 2 levels for each, a 2^3 design matrix is prepared and different values for the surface roughness are recorded with the help of Surface Roughness Tester TR100. Analysis has been performed by three methods – Full Factorial method, ANOVA and Response Surface Regression method. Minitab software is used for the Full factorial with Fits and Response Surface Regression. Corresponding Main Effects plot, Interaction plot, Contour plots and Surface plots are generated. The optimum combination of the values for the chosen parameters is evaluated.
