Introduction:-
Radio-controlled cars are self-powered cars that can be controlled from a distance using a specialized transmitter. The term "R/C" has been used to mean both "remote controlled" and "radio controlled".
Radio-controlled cars use a common set of components for their control and operation. All cars require a transmitter, which has the joysticks for control, or in pistol grip form, a trigger for throttle and a wheel for turning, and a receiver which sits inside the car. The receiver changes the radio signal broadcast from the transmitter into suitable electrical control signals for the other components of the control system.
Cars are powered by various sources. Electric cars are powered by small but powerful electric motors and rechargeable nickel-cadmium, nickel metal hydride, or lithium polymer cells. There are also brushed or brushless electric motors. The design of the car is made to suit for Off road condition and built with fully-functional off-road suspensions, can be used on various types of terrain, in addition to suspension a wireless camera, high power led head lights is incorporated for surveillance both in day and night functioning, solar panels are used which partially charges the battery
1) DC Motor
DC motor is an electric motor that runs on direct current (DC) electricity. DC motors were used to run machinery, often eliminating the need for a local steam engine or internal combustion engine. DC motors can operate directly from rechargeable batteries, providing the motive power. Modern DC motors are nearly always operated in conjunction with power electronic devices
2) Aluminium strip with holes
Sheet metal is simply metal formed into thin and flat pieces. It is one of the fundamental forms used in metalworking, and can be cut and bent into a variety of different shapes. Countless everyday objects are constructed of the material. Thicknesses can vary significantly, although extremely thin thicknesses are considered foil or leaf, and pieces thicker than 6 mm (0.25 in) are considered plate. And holes were cut by blanking process in an organized manner
3) Helical spring
Coil spring, also known as a helical spring, is a mechanical device, which is typically used to store energy and subsequently release it, to absorb shock, or to maintain a force between contacting surfaces. They are made of an elastic material formed into the shape of a helix which returns to its natural length when unloaded.
4) Big base tire
A tire is a ring-shaped covering that fits around a wheel rim to protect it and enable better vehicle performance by providing a flexible cushion that absorbs shock while keeping the wheel in close contact with the ground. The contact patch, or footprint, of the tire, is the area of the tread that is in contact with the road surface. This area transmits forces between the tire and the road via friction. The length-to-width ratio of the contact patch affects steering and cornering behavior
Working:-
High torque motor with pinion is attached to the frame which can deliver high power to the car. Four wheels are attached to the suspension system .As we know that for suspension LEAVE spring is best, but due design and scale consideration we could not use this here. So we use combination of helical spring and bar link mechanism to act as leave spring, hence act as suspension.
Application
Off road driving
Surveillance(both day & night)
Military application
It can also be used in home security system
Conclusion:-
As being wireless its working area increase extensively and can perform many hazardous work which are very harmful for human. Adding efficient SUSPENSION SYSTEM add a new dimension to the vehicle to increase its efficiency, speed and accuracy on which person can rely.
