Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act
ABSTRACT
Contracts of Employment, The first five sections of the Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act, 1978, deal with the particulars which employers are obliged to put into writing in their contracts of employment with their staff, and the manner of so doing. Some of the provisions have been slightly amended by the 1982 Employment Act. Frequently, this duty is overlooked or is dealt with in a somewhat casual manner, which can have serious repercussions on occasions.
